The Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce is a private Belgian association founded in 1950. The Chamber is organized into 4 different offices: European Desk, Master and Training, Communication Office, Marketing and Trade Office.
The European Desk provides personalized consultancy about calls for proposals and calls for tenders, it takes part to European events and it has a long experience in organizing training courses in European studies, workshops and seminars.

Brief description
The Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce (CCBI) is looking for hostess/stewards
for Expoitalia 2011 that will take place in Brussels from the 20th till the 23rd October.

ExpoItalia is the major event dedicated to the Made in Italy, in Belgium. It is organized by the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. It takes place at the Parc des Expositions of Heysel in Brussels. The event is advertised on the Belgian national TV and radios. It is also advertised in Italy, Luxembourg and The Netherlands.

Main activities
- Welcoming visitors and giving information about the fair
- Supporting exhibitors during the fair
- Translating communication during b2b meetings
- Supporting the staff of CCBI in the organization of the event
Qualifications and skills required:

- Possession of good communication skills
- Multilingual (Italian-French or Italian-Dutch, being fluent in all the three languages is an asset)
- Good knowledge of English is an asset
- Able to work in team and flexible for different tasks

Brief description of CCBI
The Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce (CCBI) is a private Belgian non-profit association, recognized and supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. Since 1950 CCBI carries on activities to support internationalization of SMEs and development of innovation within enterprises, research centres, NGOs and public entities. This is achieved through support to entrepreneurs and professionals in tender and project drafting, the organization of business events, activities of consultancy and information flow, training courses, international business partner search and networking support, etc.
CCBI has a sound experience in organizing training courses for adult learners in the field of European project drafting and management, Cooperation and development, entrepreneurship and business attitude, etc. Among the training offer of the CCBI there are: the Course in European grants for Cooperation and Development (; the Course in European Funding Opportunities for the Mediterranean Countries (; International Master in European Studies – Community Advisor and Project Consultant (; the Course in European project drafting (
The CCBI organizes thematic networking conferences, in average 3/4 each year, with an international public.
CCBI is Intermediary Organization in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme (funded by EC), where it supports mobility of young individuals that have entrepreneurial ideas.
CCBI is part of the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad (CCIE) network, which counts of about 140 offices in 50 Countries of the world. It actively implements projects with CCIE in Asia and Latin America.

Qualifications and skills required:
- University degree in Economics, Business Management, Law or similar
- Knowledge of EU procedures for project management
- Possession of good communication skills and ability to work in team
- Fluent in English (Italian will be an asset)
- Knowledge of DG enterprise, DG education, and EuropeAid funding programmes

Project Manager – Middle East

Project brief description
The Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce (CCBI) is looking for one expert to work on a project in the framework of the ENPI – Partner for Peace programme. The project’s objective is training and networking for Palestinian, Israeli, Jordanian and European peace CSOs. Within this 2-year contract, CCBI and its partner CIPMO shall support the European Union in its efforts to build/improve managerial capacities of the Civil Society Organisations beneficiaries of a grant within the EU 'Partnership forpeace' programme (EUPfP). This capacity-building objective will be fostered through targeted training on the Project Cycle Management, Logical Framework, Monitoring and Evaluation and other cross-cutting issues. The CCBI and CIPMO shall also support the European Union in its networking activities for promoting synergies and coordination among peace NGOs, whether or not their actions are EU funded, by means of bi-yearly conferences and creation of a dedicated intranet.

Target groups:
- Civil society organizations (CSOs) whose actions are funded within the EU PfP
- CSOs active in peace building activities in the region
- Donors’community active in support of peace-building initiatives

Main actions:
- 6 trainings (of 1 or 2 days) in the field of Project Cycle Management, Logical Framework, EU application procedures, Monitoring and Evaluation, Environment, Gender; organized in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Jericho/Beit Jala.
- 4 networking conferences; organized in Jerusalem, Jericho or Beit Jala and one in Jordan (Dead Sea area)
- EUPfP Intranet platform
- Mapping of funding opportunities

Main activities and responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the contract and will supervise the implementation of all the activities. In particular, the expert will ensure the following services:
- Supervision of the project’s team of experts (including trainers);
- Supervision and monitoring of training courses;
- Supervision and monitoring of the networking conferences;
- Draft booklet and reports;
- Financial monitoring and reporting;
- Supervision of the intranet platform (developed by an IT specialist);
- Coordination with the Contracting Authority.

Qualifications and skills required:

- University degree in Development Studies or Political Sciences or Business Administration/Management or a related field;
- Possession of good communication skills and ability to manage human resources;
- Fluent in English;
- Knowledge of the ENPI instrument;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in project management.

Fixed-term contract, from November 2011 to November 2013.
